Recently, I made a post regarding Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Staying in front of the computer and blogging for almost 24 hours make my wrist ache.
Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a condition of the wrist and it occurs when the median nerve is compressed, pressed or squeezed at the wrist, leading to pain, paresthesias, and muscle weakness in the forearm and hand.
CTS can be caused by anything that involves excessive unidirectional movement patterns that require too much force, duration and repetition, as the overused muscles actually become stronger, shorter and tighter than their opposition, the extensor muscles.
Having CTS can be disturbing especially at night. Symptoms, like numbness and pain the hand, may awaken you from sleep. But during the day, you will have a hard time holding something like a pen or a phone. Sometimes strange sensations and pain will travel up the arm toward the shoulder. These feelings may cause you to drop things.
I tried almost everything like keeping my hands warm, hand exercise and more, but the pain is still there. I looked online for an alternative carpal tunnel relief. Then I came across IMAK's site. One of IMAK's product is SmartGlove that helps prevent and relieve wrist pain associated with CTS. The IMAK SmartGlove features a flexible support splint; washable, breathable cotton Lycra for all day comfort; and a massaging ergoBeads pad under the wrist, which cushions and improves circulation. Some of its benefits are
* Helps prevent and relieve carpal tunnel syndrome
* Increases comfort and circulation
* Ensures ergonomically correct wrist position
* Cushions and protects the underside of the wrist, including the pisiform bone
* Reversible to fit left or right hand
Not to mention that this product is very affordable. I think this the carpal tunnel relief I'm looking for.
