David and Goliath

When I was a kid, I enjoy reading the story of David and Goliath , 1 Samuel 17:1-58. It is a story of Giant Philstine called Goliath and a lowly sheperd boy, David. D avid courageously defeated Goliath with only five stones.

Now as a grown up, I understand what the story of David and Goliath is about. The story shows that no matter how big the problem is, if you have God on your side nothing is impossible. God can solve all your problems if you will let him. It teaches us to face our own giants. And learn to trust in God. Remember, if we have faith in God and in God's word, we can overcome, no matter how great the odds against us may seem. We need the encouragement of feelings that even though the odds may be stacked up against us, there is greater power behind us, by which we can prevail.
