Firefox 3 to set Guiness World Book Record
Firefox is launching Version 3 of their browser, and intend to get the world to download it on the same day in an attempt to break a world record. The record-setting attempt is planned for the launch day for Firefox 3, also known as Download Day. Mozilla is inviting its global community to spread the word and join the effort by pledging to download Firefox 3 and hosting regional download “fests.”
Firefox fans can support the mission to set a Guinness World Record on Download Day by pledging to download Firefox 3, hosting a Firefox 3 party, inviting friends to participate, or by placing Download Day buttons on their Web sites.
* Sign up to get Firefox 3 on Download Day at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/worldrecord
* Host a Download Day Fest on Firefox 3 launch day at your school, office or anywhere with an Internet connection. Details at http://www.mozillaparty.com
* Become a Firefox Campus Representative and collect pledges from fellow students http://www.spreadfirefox.com/campusreps
* Add Mozilla buttons and banners to your site, blog or profile. Get buttons at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates/homepage.
If you are interested to participate in this objective that Mozilla and the whole Firefox community is about to take on, there are a lot of ways to contribute to it, and you are most welcome to help out in simple, but significant means.
* Create a blog post about it
* Spread the news to friends and loved ones
* Inform simply everyone you know, in what ever means possible
* Put a badge on your website, blog or what ever piece you possess online.
