Frank death toll reaches at least 80

Fengshen has already killed at 59 people in the central Philippine province of Iloilo and the death toll could rise further after flash flooding from Typhoon Frank (international codename Fengshen) washed out communities. This includes an 8-year old girl and her grandfather who were buried in a "trash slide" at a rubbish dump in Cotabato City.

At least 30,000 people were marooned on their rooftops in Iloilo province after a massive flood when a dam broke.

While, at least 80 people have been reported killed since the storm hit on Friday. Hundreds of people on board a passenger ferry remain unaccounted for after the vessel capsized in Romblon.

Four people have been confirmed dead and one crewmember were rescued when the MV Princess of the Stars turned upside down.

Thousands of people across Luzon have also been affected by the heavy downpour while some areas were left without electricity as Typhoon Frank battered the country.
