Yesterday, my sister, my husband and I went to Antipolo to visit our nieces. Frances (on the right side of the photo) is currently sick. She attended their school fair last Saturday, and she told me that she rode a ferris wheel. She said she was too nervous, she even made a sound toog toog tooog tooog like a heart pounding so fast. The way she did it was so funny. Too bad we did not stay for long.

Anyway, we really hope we can go to Dino's Alive next week.

Last Saturday, we went to the cemetery to visit our grandfather. It's been our tradition to visit our departed loved ones on November 1st. Because during All Souls' Day which falls every 2nd day of November, the cemetery becomes crowded.

Anyway, these are my nieces. They got bored and wanted to go home so my cousin bought them some toys to keep them busy.

Weekend Snapshot: Birthday

Yesterday, we celebrated our grandfather's birthday, Daddy John. We had shrimp, lengua (cow's tongue), lapu-lapu, Bicol Express, and more. But my favorite is the birthday cake, the Estrel's caramel cake:

Anyway, this caramel flavored cake is a chiffon cake but it was not too sweet. The icing is neither thick nor thin, very smooth, and light brown in color. The flower trimmings are made with butter icing, not hardened sugar in toothpicks. It is so perfect. Yummy!

As far as I know, it costs P550 for an 8-inch round cake with caramel filling and P500 without filling. And since this is a made-to-order cake, you need to order two days in advance.

Weekend Snapshot: Lunch Out

Yesterday, my family had lunch out together at Dampa near Mall of Asia. We have seafoods, seafoods and seafoods.... Yummy.

This photos were taken while waiting for the food. These are my siblings: Kiss, Gino, Nikko and me... On photo below, my siblings were goofing around when the food arrived.

Since I'm already married and living in a different house, I really miss my family. I will definitely treasure this simple lunch out with my family.

This is roasted pig or litson (in Filipino). We attended a birthday party last weekend and they served litson as the main dish. On the second photo, my brother was kissing the pig's ass. eeewww lol

Weekend Snapshot: Birthday

This is Frances, my niece. Together with my cousins, Frances was here yesterday for my hubby's birthday celebration.

Anyway, Frances was so excited to get in the pool, but look at her. She made a funny face. When I asked her why, she just said, "the water is very cold."

Weekend Snapshot: Fun

Last Saturday, we decided to take our niece out. We really had fun last weekend. We went to the mall, bought some toys and ate at McDonalds. Anyway, those pictures were taken on our way home. My husband and my niece enjoy doing some wacky pose in front of the camera. Isn't it obvious?

Weekend Snapshot: Party!

My weekend was so fun. Not only I won $50 in Paraiso Philippines Forum. My friends visited me. They were my officemates. We had beers and pizza. We had karaoke, so we sang until our lungs give out.. It was really fun. This is one of the moments I'll cherish forever.
