Pantene Bloggers Night Out With Judy Ann Santos

This video was taken during the Pantene Bloggers Night Out held at Taste Asia, Mall of Asia. And yes, I was there. Actually we were there. I was with Mitch (who travelled from Subic, Olongapo just to attend this party and meet me) and her friend Jeff, my husband Monch, my cousin Trixie, Gabs aka Youngmaze, my sister Kiss and her boyfriend Jepoy.

This is the first time I attend a blogger party and I really have fun. I also had a chance to see Judy Ann Santos in person. But unfortunately we don't have pictures with her.

Anyway, here are some of the photos taken during the party.

Our Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Treatment Freebie

We had yummy foods and unlimited cocktail drinks.

Joriben's 3 minutes with Judy Ann

Another blogger with Judy Ann

Judy Ann Santos with the host

The 3 winners of Watz Ur Ulam Contests (Mitch, Aeirin, Trixie)

The girls (Trixie, Kiss, Aeirin and Mitch)

The boys (Jepoy, Monch, Jeff, Gabs)

For more photos, please visit my multiply account.

I don't know what's with our night because our group photos taken by the Pantene photographer were ruined or something happened that they can't develop them. Then, of all time, my camera became temperamental. Some shots were blurred. So I had to use my cellphone's camera.

Anyway, Judy Ann is so nice that she even say hi to us when she was in her way out of the venue. Honestly, I was starstruck that I didn't know what to say. We didn't even ask her if we can have pictures with her. We just stood there and smile.

But after the meet and greet with Judy Ann, RJ Jimenez and his band performed some songs. Then another band played some 80's songs, I think I heard their name is Mistakes (I'm not sure because we are already outside enjoying the beers and cocktails.)

We really enjoy the party. We will definitely attend the next blogger party. Thanks to Pantene!

PS:
Mitch, Jeff and Gabs, it was a pleasure meeting you guys. Till our next night out.
Also to Sheng, it was nice meeting you. Thanks for letting Jepoy take one of your reserved slot. I hope Mommy Cielo will join us next time.

I miss them

As I was cleaning my files on my laptop, I saw these pictures again. This was taken one year ago during our weekend getaway in Puerto Galera.   These are my friends from my previous company.

It's been almost three months since I quit my job. It was actually a hard decision for me leave my friends behind. We were together for two years, and they are like brother and sisters to me.  I heard most of them left the company too.

I hope one of these days, we'll see each other again.  I miss all of you so much!

SkyWatch: Fire in the Sky

Sky Watch Friday

The first photo was taken using a digital camera around 6 P.M. However, around 6:15 my husband went out and took the camera. I thought he was taking more shots of the sun set. But he did not.

The second photo was taken the same day, but using my Sony Ericsson K800i only. It was around 6:30 P.M. and it was getting really dark. It looked like there's fire in the sky. Anyway, this photo could be better if my husband left the digital camera with me.

Weekend Snapshot: Birthday

Weekend Snapshot

Yesterday, we celebrated our grandfather's birthday, Daddy John. We had shrimp, lengua (cow's tongue), lapu-lapu, Bicol Express, and more. But my favorite is the birthday cake, the Estrel's caramel cake:

Anyway, this caramel flavored cake is a chiffon cake but it was not too sweet. The icing is neither thick nor thin, very smooth, and light brown in color. The flower trimmings are made with butter icing, not hardened sugar in toothpicks. It is so perfect. Yummy!

As far as I know, it costs P550 for an 8-inch round cake with caramel filling and P500 without filling. And since this is a made-to-order cake, you need to order two days in advance.

Here's their contact info:
Call: 3722965 or 3717938.
Address: 54 Scout Tobias St. corner Scout Limbaga. Bgy. Laging Handa, Q.C.

Aeirin is on Working Mom Magazine

One of my unfulfilled dreams has finally come true. Mommy Charm, Mommy Cara, and I are on the Working Mom Magazine October 2008 issue. Pinay Mommies Community (PMC) is featured on this issue.

It was the first week of September when Mommy Ruby asked us if we can represent PMC. At first I was hesitant, but Mommy Ruby convinced me that this is my chance to fulfill one of my dreams, that is to be in a magazine.

The interview and pictorial was done last September 9, 2008 at Bonifacio High Street. During that day, I really wanted to look good so I decided to stop by a salon. Funny, Mommy Charm was also there to have her hair done.

After the salon, we went straight to the meeting place. We were shocked that we had make up artist, because a day before the shoot, we were told that there would be no make up artist. We were so lucky because the other groups did not have make up artist.

Our photo shoot and interview took almost 1 to 2 hours. But it was really a fun experience for me. Thanks to Mommy Ruby for making one of unfulfilled dreams into reality. Here are some of our photos behind the shoot.

Snow World Manila

After our family lunch out, my cousin Karen invited us to go to Snow World Manila. I've seen Snow World Manila on television and I find it interesting, so we all agreed to come.

Snow World Manila, located at Star City, features the Ice carvings of World Ice Sculpture Arts Champions. Winter Wonderland Entertainment partnered with Star City to bring the Snow World from Indonesia to Manila.

Upon entering the place, I was really amazed by the real snow, real ice sculpture and real ice slide! Not too mention, I was really freezing. The entire place was -15 degrees Celsius, could you imagine how cold it is? Anyway, we skipped the ice sculptures and headed directly to the main attraction, the 68 meters long ice slide. Everyone wanted to try the slide, so it took us time before we can experience the fun. It was really cold, I felt my feet started to get numb. (I was only wearing slippers). Maybe after 10 minutes of wait, our turn came. To be honest, I'm afraid of slides, but this is a one-time experience, so why not try it. I positioned myself and getting ready to slide, but I felt my heart was beating so fast, then my dad pushed me.... I just screamed and screamed but not because of fright, but because I was enjoying it. Even my Dad and Uncle Nenad tried the slide. It was really fun.

Too bad cameras are not allowed, so we had our photo taken by Snow World's photographer. (100 per photo)

Above photo: (Left to right) Jeri, my cousin Karen, Me, my brother Nikko, my sister Kiss, and Uncle Nenad. Above us: my husband Monch and my dad.
On this picture: (Standing - Left to right) My dad, Nikko, my husband and Jeri
(sitting - left to right) Kiss, me, Karen and Uncle Nenad

We only stay there for 1 hour because we cant stand the coldness anymore. But it was definitely an experience to remember.

For those who want to experience the fun, you may visit Snow World Manila at Star City CCP Complex. Entrance is only P160.00

Rate Some Pictures

One of my dreams is to become a professional photographer but I think it will never happen. I am just a frustrated photographer. Though I have plans of taking photography class, but as of now, I don't have time and money for that.

I'm just enjoying and appreciating other works. There are so many pictures in the internet especially in PixOrNix.com as they have large collection of photos. From art, sports, to flowers photos, name it and they got it. But my favorite is the landscape category. Under this category, they have breathtaking photos of places and scenery. Not to mention, the photos are in high quality and this makes photo viewing more fun and worth it.

Also, in PixOrNix, if you like a picture you may give it a rating. I usually give 8 to 10 ratings because most of the photos are great. In addition, each category has their own top ten photos. And I will assure you that you will love those photos included in the top ten. You may also upload your photos and let other viewers rate it. One of these days, I’ll try to take some photos of our views and I’ll submit it to PixOrNix.

So, if you are looking for cool and awesome photos or you want others to appreciate your work, you may visit PixOrNix.com, and don't forget to rate your favorite photo.

Sky Watch

Sky Watch Friday

SKy watchAt 6 in the morning, I was planning to take a pictures of the rising sune, but unfortunately, I think Mr. Sun will not show up.

Until around 7 am, the sun is slowly rising, but you can still see the dark clouds. Tropical storm "Ofel" is inside the Philippine area of responsibility, that is reason behind those dark clouds.

Sun is shining

PhotoHunt: Road

PhotoHunters

This week’s theme is Road.

This is my husband. He asked me to take a picture while he's in the middle on the road. He wants to imitate the "Abbey Road" pics of the Beatles. He is an avid fan of the Beatles.

Weekend Snapshot: Birthday

Weekend Snapshot

This is Frances, my niece. Together with my cousins, Frances was here yesterday for my hubby's birthday celebration.

Anyway, Frances was so excited to get in the pool, but look at her. She made a funny face. When I asked her why, she just said, "the water is very cold."

The Party is not yet over

The surprise party for my hubby was a success. Actually, it is a pre-celebration for my hubby's birthday. We had carbonara (as planned), chicken, barbecue, cake, and ice cream. Our visitors are from my family's side and most of them are kids, so it looked like we had children's party.

Here are some of our pics:
The party started at 1PM and ended at 8PM. It was 7 hours of swimming, playing guitar hero, picture taking, eating, and more. We all had fun...

Of course, beers and guitar made the boys' day... Watch my husband play the guitar..

I hope that song is for me. Anyway, the party is not over yet. This is just part 1 of the celebration. Tomorrow will be the part 2. My in-laws will be here tomorrow to celebrate my hubby's birthday.

Weekend Snapshot: Fun

Weekend Snapshot

Last Saturday, we decided to take our niece out. We really had fun last weekend. We went to the mall, bought some toys and ate at McDonalds. Anyway, those pictures were taken on our way home. My husband and my niece enjoy doing some wacky pose in front of the camera. Isn't it obvious?
